Is a mutual agreement that is negotiated between the client and the coach
Outlines the confidentiality and boundaries that a coach offers
Defines the responsibilities and roles of client and coach to best serve the coaching
Serves as a tool for informing the client of the process and the shared responsibility
of the coaching journey
This is assured. Whatever is discussed in a coaching session will not be shared
outside the session in a way that reveals the client’s identity.
Coaches can be supervised to meet my professionally and ethically obligations. The
supervisor will not be told anything which identifies the client.
Notes might be taken during the session to assist in identifying patterns, practices,
insights and reflections. These are for the coaches use only.
Coaching philosophy: My approach to coaching is to view it as a collaborative method
of learning. My coaching direction is on life and personal development with a particular
focus on existential growth.
Length of sessions can be 60 or 90 minutes in length. A coaching programme comprises
a number of sessions -the number and time between sessions is negotiated and contracted
between client and coach, unless a client chooses a set coaching programme.
Coaching fees are R 350 per hour or R 450 per 90 minute session unless otherwise
indicated, payable in cash or by EFT.
Ending the coaching relationship: If a client feels that the coaching is not working
for her/him, there will not be any pressure to continue. However, it is recommended
that the client discuss this in order for the coaching journey to be brought to an
appropriate conclusion, rather than abruptly ending the coaching.
Cancellation or failure to arrive for a session:
This is often a sensitive area. A session missed due to illness or unforeseen circumstances
can be rescheduled. Repeated rescheduling and/or failing to arrive for a session
will need to be discussed.
